Greta Atchinson

Greta is passionate about helping families plan for the future and giving her clients a sense of security about what lies ahead. Greta’s practice focuses on all aspects of estate planning and elder law, including tax planning for taxable estates, general estate and gift tax planning, long-term care planning, probate, guardianship and conservatorship, and special needs planning. Prior to joining Lanman Rayne Nelson Reade, Greta practiced in a Boston-area law firm, focusing on estate and elder law planning.

Greta graduated from the University of Maine School of Law and received her undergraduate degree from the University of Maine at Farmington. She is licensed to practice law in Maine and Massachusetts.

In addition to her legal work, Greta also serves on the Board of Governors for the Westover School in Middlebury, CT where she is also chair of the annual fund.

Tracy Collins

Tracy focuses her practice on estate planning and elder law. She enjoys providing her clients with the peace of mind that comes with a well-designed estate plan. She provides guidance regarding estate and trust administration and probate matters, and she assists her clients in establishing guardianships and conservatorships to provide essential assistance to loved ones. Before joining Lanman Rayne Nelson Reade, Tracy practiced for 11 years in her hometown, Bangor, Maine, handling a diversity of matters including estate planning, probate litigation, estate administration, and general litigation.

Tracy serves as a board member for the Maine Board of Bar Examiners and as a committee member on the Maine Supreme Judicial Court’s Advisory Committee on the Maine Rules of Professional Responsibility.

Tracy graduated magna cum laude from the University of Maine School of Law in 2011, where she worked as an editor of the Ocean and Coastal Law Journal and began a rewarding term of service as an assistant district attorney for Penobscot and Piscataquis counties. She received her undergraduate degree with honors from the University of Maine, where she studied journalism and went on to earn professional accolades for her writing from the Maine Press Association.

Jennifer Frank

Jennifer loves helping her clients with complex elder law issues. She works with individuals and families on all aspects of elder law, including estate and long-term care planning, probate, guardianship and conservatorship, and special needs planning. Prior to joining Lanman Rayne Nelson Reade in 2008, Jennifer was the managing attorney of a mass tort litigation firm where she represented individuals harmed by unsafe prescription drugs.

Jennifer graduated from Golden Gate University School of Law, where she received a certificate in public interest law and was a member of the Golden Gate University Law Review. She received her undergraduate degree from Boston University.

Jennifer speaks regularly at professional conferences, and is a member of the Maine Bar Association, the Maine Trial Lawyers Association, the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys and the Maine Bar Association Elder Law Section.

Michael Friedman

Mike has been working in the legal field for close to 40 years, first in New York City, then in New Jersey before moving his practice and residence to Maine in 2001. Mike’s practice focuses on complex commercial and residential real estate transactions, general real estate matters, and general corporate counsel. Mike appears in a multitude of tribunals in the State of Maine, including the District Courts, Probate Courts, Superior Courts, Supreme Court, municipal land use boards, and local boards of selectmen.

Mike works in the firm’s Bridgton office and brought his family to Maine to partake in all things outdoors that Maine has to offer. Mike had been an organizer for the Bridgton Musher’s Bowl sled dog races for over a decade and has run sled dogs recreationally in the hills and mountains of western Maine for just as long.

Mike graduated from New York Law School and received his bachelor’s degree from Rutgers University. He is a past President of the Greater Bridgton Lakes Region Chamber of Commerce, served on the Board of Directors of the Greater Lovell Land Trust and is currently an Advisory Board member of the Kendal C. & Anna Ham Charitable Foundation. 

Kylie Germann

Kylie focuses her practice on commercial and residential real estate transactions, general real estate matters, and general corporate counsel. She is driven by her desire to make the lives of her clients easier and put their minds at ease. Prior to joining Lanman Rayne Nelson Reade, Kylie practiced at a Portland-based law firm where she represented banks in the probate, eviction, and foreclosure process. This experience gave Kylie the opportunity to work on a variety of municipal, real estate, and probate matters, allowing her to expand and uses those skills in her everyday practice.  

Kylie spent three years studying abroad in Spain while studying at Suffolk University Madrid, where she graduated cum laude.  She then attended Suffolk University Law School, where she received various awards and accolades. 

 Kylie is a member of the Maine State Bar Association, and the National College of Probate Judges.

Tracy Grisez

Tracy is a compassionate and creative practitioner driven by an innate desire to serve her clients. Her practice includes estate planning, long-term care planning, probate, estate and trust administration, and elder law. Tracy moved to Maine in 2017, relocating from Maryland where she enjoyed a successful prior career in Human Resources and Executive Management with a large medical practice. Before joining Lanman Rayne Nelson Reade, Tracy practiced with a firm in North Conway, New Hampshire.

Tracy graduated from the University of Baltimore School of Law and was the honored recipient of the Laurie A. Gibson Award for earning the highest overall grade on the essay portion of the Maine bar exam. She is licensed to practice law in Maine and New Hampshire. 

Tracy is a member of the Maine Bar Association, the New Hampshire Bar Association, and the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys. In addition to her legal work, Tracy serves on the Board of Directors for Visiting Nurse Home Care & Hospice of Carroll County and Western Maine in North Conway, New Hampshire, and is a member of the Planning Board for Baldwin, Maine.

Patricia Nelson-Reade, CELA, RN

Patti has been a leader in the field of elder law for more than 30 years. Her practice focuses on estate and long-term care planning, probate, guardianship and conservatorship, and special needs planning.

Patti is qualified as a certified elder law attorney (CELA) by the National Elder Law Foundation, and is a member of the Elder Law Section of the Maine Bar Association, the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys, and the Maine Estate Planning Council. She has been selected by her peers for inclusion in the Best Lawyers in America and has been named one of the top 50 women attorneys in New England by New England Super Lawyers and Rising Stars.

Patti graduated from the University of Maine School of Law, where she was editor-in-chief of the Maine Law Review. She received her undergraduate degree from the University of North Florida, where she graduated suma cum laude.

Jason Rayne

Jason focuses on real estate transactions for businesses and individuals, making sure that the title to the property is clean and insurable. He also consults on the income tax aspects of various types of transactions. Prior to joining Lanman Rayne Nelson Reade, Jason worked in the tax department of a Portland-based accounting firm. This makes him adept at spotting tax issues for our clients.

Jason has been named a Super Lawyers Rising Star. He graduated from the University of Maine School of Law, where he received the Pro Bono Publico Award. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of New Hampshire.

Jason serves as Treasurer on the Board of Directors for the Morrison Center in Scarborough, Maine.

Kate Lanman

Kate advises businesses and individuals on matters pertaining to business law and operations. Kate has in-depth experience building a business, and loves working with clients on the legal and tax aspects of starting, growing, and transitioning their business. Prior to Lanman Rayne Nelson Reade, Kate worked at a public accounting firm, where she focused on tax planning for individuals, partnerships, and corporations. Kate has been named a Super Lawyer Rising Star and featured in Best Lawyers Business Edition.

Kate graduated from the University of Maine School of Law and received her undergraduate degree from McGill University in Montreal.

Jamie Spaulding

Jamie’s practice focuses on all aspects business law and commercial real estate, including business formation, business transactions, drafting and reviewing contracts, and representing both individuals and banks in transactions involving commercial real estate. Prior to joining Lanman Rayne Nelson Reade, he practiced at small firms in the Portland area with a focus on business and real estate transactions and civil litigation, representing individuals and businesses before state and federal courts and agencies across the State of Maine. Jamie brings his litigation experience to his business and real estate practice, giving him valuable perspective on avoiding and resolving a variety of contract and real estate disputes.

Jamie is a graduate of Wake Forest University and the University of Maine School of Law, where he served as a student attorney in the Intellectual Property Clinic and received the ABA/BNA Award for Excellence in Intellectual Property Law. He is a member of the Maine State Bar Association and the Cumberland Bar Association.

Jon Wood

Jon works with individuals and businesses that are purchasing real estate to make sure that the title to the property is clean and the transaction goes smoothly. Prior to joining Lanman Rayne Nelson Reade, Jon practiced at one of the most established global law firms in New York, as well as another Portland-based law firm where he represented banks in the foreclosure process. This gave Jon first-hand experience finding and resolving challenging title issues.

Jon received his law degree from the Washington College of Law at American University in Washington, DC, where he graduated cum laude. He was a judicial intern at the Court of Federal Claims in Washington, DC. 

Jon currently serves as a member of the Greater Portland Board of Realtors and the Maine Association of Mortgage Professionals. Jon is licensed to practice law in Maine and New York.
